Erika Lowe
Erika Lowe is the Managing Owner and Artistic Director of Seattle Comedy Theater - Home of ComedySportz. She's performed and taught short form, long form and musical improv in multiple states from coast to coast over the last 30+ years. Her director and producer credits include Vision Euro: Song Contest with CSz Seattle, Something Great Sketch Comedy Show with CSz Seattle, and Selling Seattle with Jet City Improv. A huge supporter of the arts, Erika has served as the head of Arts Education at the Vermont Arts Council, as a Board Member with Bandit Theater, as an elected Arts Education Council Member with Americans for the Arts and an Arts Education Grant Panelist with the National Endowment for the Arts. Erika, owner and GM of Seattle Comedy Theater, is the creator of Vision Euro, along with David Gordon.
David Gordon
David "Gordon" Gordon is an improvisor, composer, playwright, and producer from Seattle. He is the director of Sound & Fury: an improvised Shakespeareance, and the co-director/co-creator of the improvised Vision Euro Söng Cöntest, for which he is also makes the music. His most recent scripted play The Second Chances of Macbeth premiered May 2026 at Left Blank Productions in Seattle. www.leftblank.space
David is the co-creater and composer for the Vision Euro Song Contest. He hails from Seattle, and recently directed his play, The Comedy of MacBeth.
Shayne Hanson
Shayne Hanson (she/her pronouns) has been performing with CSz Portland since 2015. Most weekends you can see her in a ComedySportz match. She has also starred in the Mystery Science Tribute Show, Medford Medical, and And the Winner Is (a full-length improvised musical).
Drew Simchik
Drew started his improv career with CSz San Jose in 2002 and was traded to CSz Seattle in 2017. He directs B-Rated! and has performed in ComedySportz, the Blue Show, Vision Euro Song Contest, Hex and the City, Actually Love, and Magical Hero High School: Battle Time. This fall he will direct season 3 of CSz Seattle's improvised spooky anthology show Tales of the Weird.
Meagan Gombart
Meagan Gombart began her improv journey in 2019 at Magenta Theater, jumping into the world of unscripted comedy with the Magenta Improv Theater group (MIT), where she continues to perform regularly. In 2023, she continued her improv journey by joining CSz Portland. She also performs with Score!, an innovative improv group that creates unscripted, unspoken scenes set to musical scores. In 2024, she took the stage with Experience Theater Project as part of the raucous holiday production A Drunk Christmas Carol, blending classic literature with unpredictable hilarity. When not doing improv, Meagan can be found swing dancing at Norse Hall in Portland Oregon.
Lee Hopps
Lee Hopps (they/them) is a non-binary queer performer. They have been improvising since 2010, and teaching since 2018. Lee loves to share once-in-a-lifetime magic moments with their students, fellow performers, and audiences. They also believe that the skills learned through improvising are applicable off the stage: saying “yes-and” to whatever life throws at you is an invaluable skill. Credits include Yes Anderson (2019), Sound & Fury (improvised Shakespeare: 2023-); Spontaneous Broadway (2022); Emerald City Slasher (2022-2023); We Have Some Notes musical improv ensemble (2025-) and more.
Amy Milshtein
Amy Milshtein has been improvising since 2010. You can find her most weekends at ComedySportz. She also performs in long-form shows and improvised musicals. When not improvising, Amy works as a freelance writer. Her work appears regularly in Oregon Business magazine, as well as several trade publications. She lives in unincorporated Washington County with her husband, son, and cat. Amy once made brief but meaningful eye contact with Liza Minelli.
Mary C. Parker
Mary C. Parker (she/her) is visiting from CSz Seattle and has a decade of performing improv comedy in Portland, OR, London, UK, Pittsburgh, PA, and now in Seattle, WA. She has appeared at comedy festivals in Richmond, VA, Edinburgh, UK, and Pittsburgh, PA. Mary has taught improv comedy at various improv theaters, including Kickstand Comedy and Bandit Theater. Her musical improv experience includes The High Scores, Acaprov, Dropped Notes, and a regular guest with Your Life: The Musical. Offstage, Mary is as tall as Beyoncé, a reality show junkie, and is a mac and cheese aficionado who fervently believes not all mac and cheese are created equal.
Ian Lootens
Ian's been performing with Vision Euro Song Contest for 3 years and feels each year has been more amazing than the last. Before joining Seattle Comedy Theater in 2016 (at the time: CSz Seattle) he never imagined that the silly characters and little songs he liked to make up would take him anywhere. He's also been a player in the improvised rap show BOOM BAP since 2018, which has been a massive opportunity to grow as a music maker, performer, and teacher within the Seattle community.
Camilla Franklin
Camilla Franklin is an improviser from Seattle who's particularly passionate about genre, theme, and rhyme. Past credits include Rumpus (Take 5 Improv), Sound & Fury: An Improvised Shakespeareance (Seattle Comedy Theater), and Regionals: The Musical. She is a cast member of the musical actual play show RPG Major and is the co-creator of Lollygag Improvised Music Festival.
Ruth Jenkins
Ruth Jenkins, former co-owner, started with CSz in 1988. She’s appeared in Medford Medical, ShakesProv, Possaluma County and ComedySportz at CSz Portland, and in scripted roles at Bag & Baggage, Twilight Theatre Company, Lakewood Theatre, Experience Theater Project and HART, among others.
Mickey McGee
Mickey McGee was an improviser with CSz Portland from 1999 - 2016. After that, he had a penchant for performing in holiday pageants and plays. Donning the role of Donner and other supporting characters in Rudolph Live! and co-starring as Clarence in several renditions of It's a Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play. In 2020 Mickey fell down the Eurovision Song Contest rabbit hole, and came back with an extensive knowledge of staging, choreography, flags, and mild political subtext.
Jenn Petti
Jenn is an actor, improvisor, and silly goose from Seattle, WA. She loves nothing more than committing to the bit and then singing a song about it. You can catch Jenn engaging in musical tomfoolery this summer at the Ocean State Improv Festival, Jet City Improv Festival, iO Fest, and as part of Rumpus at Take 5 Improv Theater. Jason Hays
Jason Hays (he/him) has been performing and singing since first grade and holds a B.A. in Theatre and Directing from St. Edward’s University. After discovering improv over a decade ago, he fell in love with working without a script and has been making things up ever since. Originally from Austin, Texas, he has called Portland home for over 14 years.
He performs regularly in Showdown at Curious Comedy Theater (@curiouscomedy) and most recently appeared with Portland Comedy Theater in the fully improvised musical And the Winner Is. One of his greatest improv joys is being a member of the trio Hot Goss (@hotgosspdx), alongside besties Jessica Zodrow and Rebecca Feldman. You can catch their new monthly show starting in September at Bridge City Improv (@bridge.city.improv).
Jason also co-produces Potluck (@potluckimprovpdx), a monthly community improv show and jam at the Kennedy School.
His Portland theatre credits include Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors with Stumptown Stages and Schroeder in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown at Broadway Rose Theatre Company. By day, he works as a communications manager for an architecture and engineering firm and is a loving husband and parent.
Lynsey Kemplin
Lynsey has been doing improv for two years and is part of CSz Portland's Rec League. She also enjoys reading, playing video games, ranking this year’s Eurovision entries and snuggling with her two cats.
Mary Ann Rambo
Maryann joined CSz Portland in 1999 and serves as Director of Fan Experience. She’s best known for amazing customer service AND as the light-speed wizard of our JANIS video system. She’ll be doing the images tonight from an undisclosed location. She thinks you have nice shoes.
Patrick Short
Patrick Short (he/him) was recently demoted to Education Director at CSz Portland - he’s the former co-owner and GM. He’s been with CSz since 1987, performed in nearly 3,000 shows and taught over 1,500 classes and workshops. He’s in the music duo AlleyLoops with Emily Larkin, and you can find his original music at patrickshort.bandcamp.com and on the usual services.
Brooke Chamberlain
Brooke has been improvising since 2004 and is a long-time resident at Portland Comedy Theater. Performing for CSz Portland, she also manages and coaches the CSz Portland Rec League. Brooke created and directs the long-running improv group Score!, a silent film–inspired show blending music, expressive characters, and wordless chaos. When she’s not on stage, she runs her own garden business and crafts elaborate Halloween costumes (often inspired by Johnny Depp films). Equal parts performer and improv coach, Brooke brings a touch of character and physicality, and a lot of laughter—to every show she’s part of. Brooke also takes care of every cat in Beaverton.
