ComedySportz Teambuilding FAQ
Is this fun?
Absolutely! Your people will laugh together like never before.
What does it involve?
ComedySportzworkshops are built from improvisational theories, games and activities.
Everybody participates – we encourage people without overly pressuring
them – and everyone has fun while we help the whole group realize the
message behind the fun.

What our workshops do not involve is a bunch of lecturing and powerpoints -
it's active and fun learning.
How long is the workshop?
We have taught workshops from as little as an hour to as long as two
days; sometimes, the workshops are a series over some weeks. It all depends
on what you need and want.
What are some Teambuilding Objectives that ComedySportz has designed workshops
for in the past?
Here are some reasons clients have engaged us for Teambuilding:
- A newly formed department in a large company needs to bond quickly
and hit the ground running
- A workgroup is spread across several or many far-flung offices and
needs to work together more closely and realize they are all working
toward the same goals
- Groups with "conflicting" functions need to work together
(sales and accounting is an excellent example)
- A workgroup or faculty just doesn't get enough time to relate to
each other in the daily routine
- Post down-sizing recovery
- A department or company just seems "stuck in a rut"

Yes, but I just want something quick and fun!
We offer TeambuildingLite, which comes in two forms:
- A quick, fun, up to one hour energizing workshop (useful for meeting
kickoffs and brain breaks)
- A combination ComedySportz show and short workshop - terrific as
part of a multi-day meeting
How many people can ComedySportz work with?
We work with groups of any size, but typically, groups of 6 or
more. We recommend one leader for every 20 or so participants,
and a setting that can accommodate both the entire group and breakout
rooms for the groups of 20. And the workshops are noisy, so you
might consider using an area where lots of laughter doesn't disturb non-participants.
What are the fees?
Our fees are quoted by phone, 503.236.8888. Each engagement is
custom-designed to fit your unique circumstances.
Is ComedySportz available on the date(s) I need?
We won't know that until you call or e-mail,
so please do. Sometimes, we can accommodate people with as little as
a few days notice.
Does CSz travel?
Yes. We've played and workshopped from Anchorage to Austin and
places in between. Outside of the Portland area, we do add travel charges
to help offset room, board, transportation and extra teacher time.
Can CSz recommend a location?
Yes, we do this all the time, based on our experiences and the experiences
of our clients. We do not accept payment from other vendors. We
have your interests at heart. Often, your location works fine. Our arena
works for groups up to 25, too.
How do I hold a date?
We send you our 1 page agreement. You sign it. Fax it to us. That's
it. We don't "pencil in" dates.
What are your deposit policies?
We dislike deposits. So do you. ComedySportz gets paid on the day
of the workshop, or earlier if it's more convenient for you. Hand us
a check when we get there.
How can I pay?
By check or credit card. We accept Visa, MasterCard, AMEX and Discover.
We need to promote the workshop. Can ComedySportz help me?
Yes. Check out our graphics
and photo resource page. It has all of our logos in web
and print formats, as well as a growing number of photos you can use.
How often does CSz do this?
We perform over 250 times a year. We teach nearly 200 workshops
a year. We'd love to work with you next!
