Possaluma County - The First Years

"Welcome to Possaluma City, the county seat of Possaluma County!"

Welcome to Possaluma County
We began Possaluma County in 2003, and in 2005, moved the focus of the story from Possaluma City to Silver Falls City, a few miles Southwest of the county seat.

This page summarizes the characters of the first two years.  They may return, and some of them may indeed visit Silver Falls City, but if you are trying to study up to see a show, you'll want to visit the pages concerning "Silver Falls City".

Possaluma County, near the center of the state, was incorporated in early 2003, based on a remark made by Merrily Jackson in a CSz workshop.

Some of the favorite characters from the First Years of the show:
  • Shirl (Ruth Jenkins) - manages Hurley's Café, although it's not clear who owns it.
  • Biff Rockaway (Andrew Berkowitz) - postal worker, male model and unsuccessful candidate for County Commission.
  • Boonie / Schnitza (Betse Green) - twin sisters from Romania. Boonie owns the nail salon in town.
  • Mik Wingwong (Amy Gray) - from the noted English rock band, Das Wingwong. Hiding out in Possaluma and working on "projects".
  • Laurel (Jennette Zarko) - married three times and still looking.
  • Sgt Roger Ohver (Jamie Montgomery) - principal of the French American School of Possaluma County
  • Jack Blackthorn (Bill Cernansky) - the new County Commissioner
  • Miss Oona Lambe (Margie Boule) - sent by the French Consulate to oversee the school. Maybe.
  • Tommy (Cat Beckett) - a teenager with an important story we haven't heard yet. Keeps skipping school.
  • Yuri Dikipa (Mickey McGee) - owner of a successful chain of pet stores.
  • Eva (Merrily Jackson) - a new age guru. I think.
  • The Bartender, Jim-the-Long-Haul-Trucker, Cecily the School Secretary, the Fedex guy and other bit parts are played by Patrick Short.
Possaluma County shows typically run about 40 minutes.
