Kent and Phil Do It All

OK, so we've appeared at leading improv festivals and have garnered a loyal following here in Portland.

Kent and Phil Do It All.

Fact of the matter is, neither one of us want to.

It will be obvious to anyone (yes, either of you) showing up that we are just punching the clock. In fact our current off-stage relationship has an eerie similarity to the declining years of Hall and Oats (and were there ever any inclining years?). I am ashamed to say that I seem to have slipped naturally into the roll of John Oates.

The guy with the mustache.

For example:

Last week on the tour bus, Kent and I were spending some 'together time' as suggested by our therapist. We were in the back working on a new thing called "Doing a scene IN A LOCATION" which is apparently all the rage with you kids.

Anyhoo, I made a clear move to be in a recording studio laying down a sweet vocal track and Kent obviously took that as a painful reminder of my successful 'real-world' solo career. I say obviously because he sat down and began talking about his plans for a SUCCESSFUL solo career. In the middle of a scene. Come on.

We tried to talk it out, but the best we've been able to do is to agree to disagree. Which is where we (and Daryl and John) stand today.

So if you want to see two chumps doing it for the money, if you want to see two shells of their former selves embarassing each other like it was the Chairman of the Board's last show, come and see Kent and Phil Do it All.

I'm sorry. If the studio would let us out of our contracts, you wouldn't even have to know about this.

Check the Friday After Hours and Saturday Late Night schedules to see what might be our final shows.
